We have three different tax certificate programs: 2 courses (CTA), 3 courses (CTC), and 5 courses (CTP). A certificate of completion will be issued for each tax course as you complete each one. Once you complete all of the tax courses in one of the certificate programs AND complete the experience requirement for that program, you will qualify for the specific designation and receive a certificate for the actual designation. The experience requirement is separate from the certificate program. It's done on your own (working for a tax company, volunteering for VITA, etc.). You will need to complete an Affidavit of Experience Requirement before a final certificate can be issued and the designation is earned. Learn more about the certificate requirements.
