Within 5 calendar days following receipt by email of an e-learning student User ID, a student may cancel enrollment and receive a full refund of all tuition and fees.

Refund Policy

If cancellation of enrollment occurs after 5 days of receipt of a student User ID, the following refund policies will apply:

  1. If cancellation occurs after 5 days, the student will receive a refund less a 25% registration fee provided that any graded assignments have not been accessed.
  2. If cancellation occurs after accessing any graded assignments, the student will not be entitled to a refund.

Refunds must be requested by giving notice of cancellation within the course access time frame specified. Please allow 30 days for refunds to be processed. Refunds may take 1-2 billing cycles to appear on your statement dependent on your credit card provider.

Within 15 calendar days following receipt by email of an e-learning student User ID, a student may cancel enrollment and receive a full refund of all tuition and fees less any shipping charges incurred by The Income Tax School, provided that:

  1. The student has shipped any optional books back to The Income Tax School in resalable condition within that same time frame.
  2. The student has not accessed more than the first three chapters of the first module of the course.

Please Note:

  • Tax Business Start-up Guides are non-refundable.
  • Installment fees are non-refundable.
  • Any optional books that were purchased must be returned at the student’s expense.
  • If any optional books returned are not in resalable condition, an individual book fee (based on purchase price) will apply based on the percentage of damage to the book. Example: 4 modules = each module is valued at 25% of total book fee. There should be no signs of wear/damage to the book. Wear/damage to book is defined as highlighting or writing in the book, folding or dog-earring the book, torn or missing pages, smell of smoke, etc. Original protective wrapping may be missing.
  • If optional books were ordered and are not returned there will be no refund.

Refund Policy

If you cancel your enrollment after 15 days of receipt of your student User ID, the following refund policies will apply:

    1. If cancellation occurs before completion of or access to less than 50% of the course, the student will receive a prorated refund of tuition, less a $100 registration fee and any shipping charges incurred by The Income Tax School.
    2. Installment fees are non-refundable.
    3. Tax Business Start-up Guides are non-refundable.
    4. Any optional books that were purchased, must be returned at the student’s expense. Returned books must be the current version and in resalable condition. If the books are not in resalable condition, an individual book fee (based on purchase price) will apply based on the percentage of damage to the book. Example: 4 modules = each module is valued at 25% of total book fee. There should be no signs of wear/damage to the book. Wear/damage to book is defined as highlighting or writing in the book, folding or dog-earring the book, torn or missing pages, smell of smoke, etc. Original protective wrapping may be missing.
    5. If optional books were ordered and are not returned there will be no refund.
    6. If optional books are returned and are not the current version, there will be no book refund.
    7. If cancellation occurs after completion of or access to more than 50% of the course, the student will not be entitled to a refund.

Extension for Courses of 30 Hours or More:

Students who do not finish the course within the allotted time frame must pay a $65 reinstatement fee to continue on for an additional term. Extension terms are 3 months for 30 hour courses and 6 months for 60 hour courses. Students have 180 days after the expiration of their course date to be granted an extension. Course extensions are limited to 1 per course.

California CE Completion by 12/31 to be applied for the current year. Access to course does reflect CTEC deadline of 10/31.
AFTR Course Completion by 12/31 each year to be accepted by the IRS for the upcoming year’s AFSP.

All technical, instructor, and administrative support for CE seminars
ends on 12/28 and begins again on 1/3.
