Recruit and Train Seasonal Tax Preparers with CTEC Approved MaterialsThinking of teaching a tax course in California?In order to teach taxes in California (CA), you must be approved by the California Tax Education Council (CTEC). The Income Tax School makes it easy for you to get approved to teach in CA! The Income Tax School, a division of Peoples Income Tax, Inc., is approved by CTEC to offer Qualifying and Continuing education (contact and Self-Study), which is required for tax preparers to be licensed and to practice in California.
Important: If you submit the information incorrectly, CTEC will charge you another $500 to resubmit. The approval is good for 3 years (an average cost of $333 a year) and then you must do the procedure again. When you are ready to purchase CA income tax preparation course materials from The Income Tax School: Make sure that the CA supplement materials ($30 a packet) are purchased with every CA income tax preparation course for every student and every instructor, i.e. (5 student kit; requires 6 CA supplements - 6 x $30 = $180, 1 for each student and 1 for the instructor. If you order an additional instructor manual – you need to order another CA supplement – an additional $30.) Our ability to offer CPE does not transfer to our licensees automatically. You must apply to be approved to offer Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credit through National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA). www.nasba.org This should be a fairly simple process since Peoples Income Tax is already approved. |
