  • Excellent writing, research and grammar skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Word
  • Adobe experience desired but not required
  • Strong preference given to IRS EAs and CPAs

Curriculum Developers


  • Write, update and enhance ITS curriculum for income tax courses and CE seminars, as assigned.


  • Become familiar with ITS curriculum by reviewing examples of tax courses and CE seminars
  • Help to enhance the quality of tax school products as Curriculum Development Team member
  • Help to develop new tax school products as assigned
  • Ensure timely updating of existing courses and seminars
  • Ensure timely development of new courses and seminars
  • Ensure that the policies and procedures of The Income Tax School are followed
  • Maintain awareness of changes in curriculum requirements and/or procedural changes by governing bodies


  • Edit, update and develop tax course curriculum as assigned
  • Assist with tax school student support by email if requested
  • Provide feedback regarding customer comments on quality and usefulness of teaching material
  • Provide input to Tax School Director to create and enhance tax school curriculum
  • Participate in Curriculum Development Team meetings as requested
  • Perform all other duties as may be assigned


  • Minimum of five years as a tax preparer with at least 1,000 tax returns prepared
  • Experience in preparing corporation, partnership and complex individual tax returns
  • Enrolled Agent credential or ability to attain EA credential within 6 months
  • Tax course teaching experience or ability
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant major or equivalent experience

  • Ability to research and comprehend Federal and state income tax laws
  • Good organization skills to ensure follow up
  • High level numerical ability and numeric reasoning skill
  • Ability to be self-directed and meet deadlines without fail
